Junichi Nakashima
Born in Karatsu City, Saga Prefecture, 1952.
While studying at Baylor University in the U.S. from 1975 to 1976, he began writing English poetry and drawing pictures.
He has written a collection of poems "Melancholy Dreams," a collection of English poems "ALPHA & OMEGA," a novel "Himiko," "A Silent Kiss on Thursday," and a collection of essays "A Dream is a Memory of the Future of the Day You Meet Your True Self.
Since 1986, he has been writing, directing, and performing in one-man plays.
His 45 plays include "The Merchant of the Desert," "Jesus of Nazareth," "Buddha," "Confucius," "Kukai," "Shinran," "Ryoma," "Shoin Yoshida," "Nobunaga," "Himiko," "Rashomon," "Van Gogh," "King Oedipus," "Hamlet," "Macbeth," and "Othello. They have been performed more than 1,600 times. He also performs and lectures at companies, junior high schools, high schools, and universities. He is attracting attention as a unique artist.
